9 Month Picture

She only sits still long enough for one or two shots before she is out of the chair so she can look at Elmo. :)

We Have A Crawler!

Reagan has been on the verge of crawling for a week or more now. Today, she just got up and crawled across the room like she had been doing it all her life. She still is only crawling out of necessity, but I am sure it won't be long before she is on the go all the time. I didn't have the camera nearby for the first crawl, but I made sure to have it ready for the second one.

9 Months Old!

Reagan turned nine months old yesterday. She had her 9 month well baby checkup today. The doctor says everything looks great. She weighed 19 pounds 2 ounces and was 27 inches long. A shortie for her weight but she comes by that naturally. She is all smiles for the doctor in the first picture since she did not have to get any shots today!

She has learned to love graham crackers. That is her new favorite treat, especially since she can feed herself with those. We can't wait! In the second picture, graham crackers, anyone?
The third picture is her enjoying (read-tasting) the letters from her new puzzle.

Piano Player

Thanks for letting me borrow your piano, Aunt Nini! I'm getting better!

WOW! A week and a half already!

PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN BY
NICCI GILLAND PHOTOGRAPHY

I really didn't intend to let this much time go by without updating. It seems like the last few weeks have just disappeared. I don't really have a good reason to be so behind. Just busy with life sort of stuff, I guess.
Reagan and Ellis have kept me on my toes over the last few weeks and we moved my computer into another room, so I don't get to it very often during the day anymore. Blogging has to wait until my wind down time now, which I often skip and go straight to bed :) Anyway, I have several new pictures and videos but not much else to say. Enjoy!

Something to Smile About!

I'm not sure what the something to smile about is, but Reagan found something pretty funny this afternoon. I think it may have been the ceiling fan, even though it was not on. She is very easily amused. Poor Ellis didn't know what to think of her!

A Dip In the Pool

The pool was great today. Reagan had a great time and even sat in her float for a while. We can't wait to take her to the beach and let her check out the ocean. Too bad her Mommy is afraid of it and she won't get more than ankle deep. :) Still, the resort has three pools so she should still get some water time in.

Studying for Exams

Reagan and Ellis had a hard day of studying yesterday. For some reason, they were both really into books today. They spent a good amount of time looking at different books and I mean really looking, not just chewing. :)

Since it has been super hot all week, we have not ventured outside. We are off to swim next door in a few minutes, so maybe I can get a few cute shots there. We are still anxiously awaiting our proofs from the photographer.

What a Girly Girl!

Reagan was feeling very girly yesterday and decided to wear a skirt and a little bow in her hair. This was her first ever bow and although a little more hair wouldn't hurt, it stayed in surprisingly well. I don't think it will be an everyday thing, but it was fun for a little while.

We had another great day playing with Ellis today. Their naps even overlapped for a few minutes! Imagine the luck!

New Pictures!

The photographer we met with on Sunday sent us a few of the pictures she took of Reagan as a sneak preview. They look amazing and I can not wait to see the rest of them. If you need a good photographer, check this one out! http://www.niccigilland.com/blog.php

Here Comes Another Tooth!

Reagan finally let me look in her mouth today. I can for sure see another tooth getting close to breaking through. She has been very resistant to letting me look into her mouth for the last few days and now I know why.

Her little mouth must be pretty sore after just getting her first tooth last weekend and now cutting another one. I decided that we would take our chances with a belly ache and gave her a few things to help ease the pain in her mouth. First, she had a sherbet popsicle in her mesh feeder and then a piece of zwieback toast. I think the result was the same as being tarred and feathered. First apply the sticky and then the crumbly toast. :) She was absolutely filthy when she finished, but it helped to distract her for a while and might have helped that tooth some, too.

Needless to say, she got another bath in the sink tonight because I didn't want to carry her down the hall dripping with popsicle and crumbs.

We did get to have her pictures made with the photographer yesterday. Reagan did great. She thought this lady was so funny and was laughing hysterically through most of the session. It will be a week or two before we get the pictures, but I think they are going to be wonderful.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Reagan and I had a big day of cooking a birthday cake and dinner for JD. She "made" him a special card and even stamped her foot into it. She had a bit of vanilla ice cream after dinner which she loved. I think she has decided that birthdays are pretty fun, even when they aren't hers. :)

We bought her Halloween costume last week. I guess it is a bit early, but the stores already have them out and they only had one left in her size so we had to buy it. She didn't seem to mind too much when I tried it on her except that she wanted to pull the hood down on her face she could look at it. I am so excited for Halloween!

I Am Writing To the President!!!

Reagan LOVES to type. Well, more like pound the keyboard with her fists. She has found lots of shortcuts on both the PC and the Mac that we can't figure out how to undo so her Daddy got her her very own laptop. LOL. He dug out an old school laptop that he doesn't use so she can pound the keyboard without making any disastrous changes to our computers. Not surprisingly, she lost interest in it pretty quickly since no one tried to stop her :)

A Big Day

Today was our first day with Ellis. He and Reagan did great. I was really worried that I would continually have to separate them after their last visit together, but they got along wonderfully. They did have a few "grabbing matches" over toys, but I don't think either of them was trying to be mean or selfish :) The day was rather uneventful. I did get a little taste of what it is going to be like when Reagan starts crawling. Ellis is on the go non-stop, so I am exhausted. We really enjoyed having Ellis here today!

Cookies anyone?

Reagan is loving the biter biscuits I have given her this week. They really do seem to make her feel better, or at least distract her with sugar. They are basically rock hard cookies. Anyway, she gnawed this one to bits and had to go immediately into the sink. I didn't even want to take her all the way to the bathroom. I just filled up the sink and put her in. She thought that was pretty cool. :)

Big Girl Shoes!

Reagan got her first pair of big girl shoes. These have actual bottoms and she is able to stand much better in them than she does on her bare feet. JD thinks they are pretty ugly, but how can you not smile at baby Nike's? Here are a couple of pictures of Reagan checking out her new shoes. Note those sweet little legs in the second picture.
