The ULTIMATE Christmas Gift!!!

We would like to take this opportunity to say a very special thank you to the person who gave us something(?) in this box. It has been the highlight of the Christmas Season. We hope that someday we can pass it along to another little boy or girl so that they may experience the hours of pure entertainment it has provided...LMAO

Still more Christmas...

Post Christmas Update

Now that things are finally beginning to slow down some, I have several updates to make to the blog. They all revolve around Reagan and her ten billion new toys...

This was the first toy she opened on Christmas Eve. I think she would have been happy to just play with it and not open any others.

This is the ball pit/bouncy slide from Erica and Bryan. She immediately tried to climb up the slide so we spent some extra time showing her how fun it is to go down the slide.

We will miss you, Uncle Kelly!

Sadly,(my uncle)Reagan's great uncle Kelly passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning. We will miss you very much!

Thanks for all of the times you played with me and tried to hold me. I loved the attention even if I did scream the whole time. :)

Daddy's girl!

Daddy really is a girl's best friend!

GO, CAR, GO!

Reagan's new favorite activity is driving her car. It is most fun when it goes fast enough to slide around corners and do wheelies. Reagan's loves it and insists that she stand up while riding. This would entertain her for hours if either of us had enough energy to push her that long. ;o

Birthday Party Version 2.0

The second birthday party went well. We had lots of fun and lots of cake and got lots of toys! Thanks everyone!

Lovin' her party hat, compliments of Aunt Claudette...

Mmm, chocolate cake...

New toys!

Giving her "Bubba" (of course, that is what she calls it) a big kiss...

Big Update

I have not updated in several weeks. I thought that I should probably do that before Christmas gets here and I have 50 new things to post. Here is the general update and pictures.

Reagan's vocabulary is expanding everyday. She can now say uh-oh, momma, dada (or papa, depending on her mood), bubba, go, stop, up, ball, baby (her current favorite), maybe (so her Daddy says), roar like a dinosaur, bark like a dog and make a vroom, vroom sound when she drives her cars.

No walking yet, but she is letting go more often and for longer periods of time. She is taking lots of steps holding on and reaching a lot but she hasn't tried those first steps on her own yet. No rush :)

Now for a few pictures...
Licking her spaghetti plate. Note the fork that has fallen down in front of her. So far, she hasn't found any uses for that funny little thing.

Catching a quick nap before naptime...

Seeing the Christmas tree and all of those shiny ornaments for the first time...

Taking a break from driving her car to smile for the camera...

Her nightly piano duo with Daddy. She is considering adding a little dance to the routine. You can see her thinking about it here...

Cake, anyone?

These are the pictures we had made for Reagan's birthday. They turned out pretty well, I think. She wasn't all that crazy about tearing into the cake although she had no trouble at her party when it was time for the real thing.

Happy Birthday, Reagan!

As of this afternoon, my baby girl is officially one year old! I can't believe how quickly the year has gone by.

Every night this week I have thought back to and reminded JD that "one year ago right now, I was being admitted to the hospital"..."one year ago right now, I was calling everyone to tell them I was being induced." We have relived the whole year this week and although I am beyond thrilled that Reagan has done so well and is such a great kid, it is bittersweet for me that I don't have a baby anymore.

Still, I am sure it is only going to get better from here. I only hope that the next year is as wonderful as the first! Happy birthday, little monkey!

What a difference a year makes!

Opening Presents

Reagan wasn't sure what to do when it was time to open presents. Luckily, she had several older cousins who were willing to help her out. She sat through several and then decided maybe it would be easier to let them open them and she could watch from a distance. I caught the end of her flee from the presents in the video.

Birthday Toys!

Here are a few of Reagan's new birthday toys. Along with the eleventy-billion toys, she also got about eight new outfits. She wasn't too keen on modeling those today. Maybe tomorrow!

She has rode the zebra, horse and car repeatedly today. She bashed both of her baby dolls in the face with the baby bottle and stuffed her new teddy bear in the trunk of her new car. The stacking cups have been nested neatly inside of each other and then thrown across the room more than once. Overall, I would say she is pretty pleased with her birthday loot. :)

Happy Birthday...Version 1.0

Reagan's first birthday party went well over the weekend. We are having two because our house won't come close to holding everyone all at once. She got lots of fun new toys (which I will post some pictures of later) and one big, fat chocolate cupcake which she destroyed. See pictures and then video!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Unfortunately, through two entire Thanksgiving meals, I didn't manage to get one picture of Reagan. Thankfully, her Grandpa did get a couple. She loved the food, even the cranberry sauce. I can't believe that this was her last, first holiday. This was her first Thanksgiving, but she has already celebrated all of the other holidays. Hard to believe. Anyway, thanks to Grandpa for the pictures!

Bird Watcher

Reagan loves to look outside and "watch for birds." That is what I call it anyway. I am pretty sure she doesn't know what a bird is, lol, but she likes to look outside anyway. When she tires of that, she can always lick the glass to amuse herself!

I LOVE SPAGHETTI!!!

Although I think the video probably says it all, Reagan's newest love is spaghetti. She had it for the first time tonight and I think she thought it was a big improvement from the baby junk we normally feed her. This meal does require an immediate bath though! :)

Mmm, cupcakes!

Reagan had her very first cupcake on Tuesday to help Ellis celebrate his birthday. It only took her a minute of prodding it to make sure it was safe before she dug in. She seemed to enjoy it and it was good practice for her birthday coming up!

A Few New Tricks!

Reagan has learned a couple of new things this week. Her favorite right now is standing on her head. She does this repeatedly and randomly all day long. I think it is absolutely hysterical!
Her other new trick is clapping. We have been working on this for months and she finally got it. She will do it for her Daddy when prompted but for me so far, it is all random. She claps whenever the mood strikes and looks at me like I am crazy if I try to get her to do it. :)

Little Monkey!

Reagan was a champ about wearing her Halloween costume. We did have to pull the hood down a few times because she couldn't see, but otherwise she didn't seem to mind wearing it. She hung out with us while we gave out candy to the trick or treaters and also got to go next door to see the neighbors who of course had goodies waiting for her.

Happy Halloween!

This is Halloween day before getting her costume on. Scary monster shirt compliments of her Granbuggy.
